South Carolina District Select – Standouts of the Stop (Part 2)

The second wave of standouts from the South Carolina District Select Camp continues to show why this stop was one of the most competitive events of the tour. The talent inside the JB Owens Sports Complex was undeniable, with players displaying effort, skill, and basketball IQ well beyond their years. From explosive guards to physical forwards, these athletes consistently made plays that caught the attention of our staff.


As always, being featured here does not take away from the performances of many others who competed at a high level. Every player in the gym contributed to the energy and intensity of the day. This is Part 2 of our “Standouts of the Stop” from South Carolina — a continuation of the athletes who left a strong impression on both ends of the floor.

Braylon Simmons

Class of 2029 | 5’9” | Point Guard


Braylon is a well-rounded guard who impacts the game in multiple ways. He excels in the open court, attacking with confidence and finishing effectively in transition. His shooting touch is smooth, and he consistently knocks down open shots when given space. Off the ball, he moves with purpose, always making himself available for scoring opportunities. Defensively, Braylon competes hard and shows great effort in every matchup. He brings energy and passion to the floor, helping his team on both ends. His ability to play within the flow of the game while still standing out makes him a valuable all-around guard.

Ayden Swygert

Class of 2030 | 5’6” | Point Guard


Ayden is a dynamic playmaker with elite pace and creativity off the dribble. His pull-up jumper is a weapon, and he uses it to keep defenders guessing. He has an exceptional ability to change speeds, freezing defenders with quick hesitations before attacking seams in the defense. Ayden finishes at the rim with touch and confidence, using extended layups to avoid shot-blockers. Defensively, he is alert and active, always in position to make plays and collect steals. His rhythm, control, and offensive awareness make him one of the most complete guards at his age group.

Sam Eaton

Class of 2031 | 6’0” | Forward


Sam is a high-motor forward who makes his presence felt on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he runs the court with purpose, constantly opening up lanes and creating easy scoring opportunities for himself and teammates. Around the rim, he shows a soft touch and finishes through contact. His rebounding stands out — Sam battles for position and secures second chances with his physical play. On defense, he rotates well and uses his frame to protect the paint. His effort, toughness, and developing skill make him a reliable interior presence with strong long-term upside.

Trey Johnson

Class of 2032 | 5’4” | Small Forward


Trey is a confident shooter with excellent mechanics and a quick, clean release. Every shot he takes looks like it has a chance to go in, and he plays with the confidence of a seasoned scorer. He is also capable of attacking closeouts, finishing with finesse around the rim. Trey competes on both ends, bringing passion and effort every possession. His offensive versatility allows him to create opportunities for both himself and his teammates. Trey’s poise and shot-making ability make him one of the most exciting young prospects at camp.

Jonahieze Benson

Class of 2030 | 5’8” | Point Guard


Jonahieze is a composed guard who plays with a strong sense of control and awareness. He excels in transition, patiently reading the defense before attacking at the right moment. His jumper is consistent and technically sound, giving him confidence to score from all three levels. Jonahieze is one of the best off-the-dribble scorers in his class, showing great balance and timing on every release. He uses his body well to initiate contact and finish through traffic. On defense, he stays engaged and applies pressure without fouling. Jonahieze’s maturity and complete offensive game make him a standout performer.

Alexander Buffum

Class of 2029 | 6’2” | Power Forward


Alexander is a fundamentally sound forward who understands the game at a high level. He sets strong screens, rolls effectively, and always makes himself available for passes. His hands are excellent, allowing him to catch in traffic and finish quickly around the rim. Alexander’s physicality stands out, as he consistently battles for rebounds and wins positioning inside. He rarely forces plays, instead focusing on efficiency and team execution. Defensively, he reads rotations well and steps in to provide help at the right times. His discipline, IQ, and steady production make him one of the most reliable bigs at camp.

Andre Ashley

Class of 2028 | 6’0” | Small Forward


Andre plays with a level of toughness and physicality that coaches love. Inside, he is a force — finishing through contact and rebounding with strength. He embraces physical play and often looks more comfortable when the game gets rough. Offensively, he shows patience and control, attacking the rim when the defense opens up and using his body to protect the ball. Andre can also step out and knock down shots when his feet are set, showing promise as a perimeter scorer. Defensively, he is a strong rim protector who provides consistent help-side coverage. His intensity and leadership by effort make him a tone-setter on any team.

Jorden Nine

Class of 2030 | 6’1” | Shooting Guard


Jorden is a long, athletic guard with a frame that screams potential. He already shows flashes of high-level ability, creating his own shot off the dribble and finishing through contact at the rim. He moves fluidly with the ball and has the strength to post up smaller defenders for easy scores. Jorden rebounds extremely well for his position, often starting fast breaks with quick outlet passes. On defense, his length and athleticism make him disruptive in passing lanes. As he continues to polish his skills, his ceiling remains very high. Jorden is a player to keep a close eye on moving forward.

Tajh Johnson

Class of 2032 | 5’0” | Shooting Guard


Tajh may be one of the youngest players in the gym, but his confidence and shooting ability stand out immediately. He has excellent form and range, knocking down perimeter shots with consistency. Tajh plays with effort and intensity on both ends, applying pressure defensively and competing every possession. In transition, his speed and control allow him to create easy opportunities for himself and teammates. Despite his size, he embraces challenges and never backs down from contact. His motor, shot-making, and fearless mindset make him a young player with major potential.

Kingston Glover

Class of 2030 | 5’6” | Shooting Guard


Kingston is a crafty and shifty guard who uses pace and creativity to break down defenders. His handle is smooth, allowing him to get to his spots with ease. In the paint, he has a wide range of finishing moves, including floaters and off-balance layups that he converts consistently. In transition, he attacks quickly and makes smart decisions with the ball. Kingston’s midrange game is steady, and he plays with control even when pressured. Defensively, he applies strong on-ball pressure and uses quick hands to disrupt rhythm. His confidence and skill make him a dangerous scorer and creator at any level.


Part 2 of the South Carolina District Select “Standouts of the Stop” wraps up a loaded weekend of basketball at the JB Owens Sports Complex. This second wave of players continued to raise the standard, showing competitiveness, poise, and passion for the game. From skilled floor generals to physical forwards, each athlete demonstrated traits that translate to the next level.


Together, Parts 1 and 2 capture the depth of talent in South Carolina and the commitment each player showed to improvement. As the Select Tour continues, these names represent the future of the game — players who not only compete but lead with effort and purpose.
